Name of the Day: OLIVIA

Today's name of the day is OLIVIA (girl's name; Latin origin; meaning "olive tree.")

The first appearance of OLIVIA can be traced back to a character in the Shakespearean play, "Twelfth Night." It still isn't clear if Shakespeare derived OLIVIA from it's male counterpart, Oliver, or if it was merely in reference to the olive plant.
